The Visayan patadyong, a woven fabric mainly found in Antique and Iloilo provinces in Panay Island, has a rich history and is deeply connected to the daily life of the Visayan people. Its name comes from the words "pa" and "tadlong," meaning "to be left straight," referring to its straight and narrow skirt-like shape without pleats. The cloth features patterns of stripes and plaids in vibrant colors like red, yellow, blue, and green. It may appear simple in design but stands out with its bold colors and practicality. Weaving a patadyong includes intertwining different colored threads called bunang using a wooden loom called tiral.
